LOS ANGELES — Former Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was arrested Sunday after an incident forced his plane to return to the gates at Los Angeles International Airport, according to multiple reports. Airport police were called Sunday morning for a potential domestic violence incident on a plane about to leave Los Angeles for Houston, NFL.com reported. The plane had left the gate to prepare for takeoff but was forced to return due to "an alleged verbal and physical altercation" between Peterson and a woman, the report states, citing a spokesperson for the Los Angeles International Airport police. Peterson, 36, is facing a felony domestic violence charge, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department records, which show his bail was set at $50,000.
