Press release from the City of Greensboro: 02/13/2022 11:59 PM About the Artist Jessica Dame is a mixed media artist who experiments with a variety of processes through the combination of analog collage, illustration and painting. She has Bachelor of Art History from Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia, and a Master of Library and information Science from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina. She seeks to blend fine art and design by creating pieces with an emphasis on clean lines, negative space, and surprising use of color. Jessica is inspired by the cycles and beauty of the natural world, illustrated stories of her childhood, fashion illustration, and design. Dame has exhibited at Latela Curatorial in Washington in 2018, 2019 and 2021. In Greensboro, she created the holiday window for Scuppernong Books in 2020, and has work in the Cone Health MedCenter for Women's art collection and the Baldwin Room at the historic Magnolia House.
