Job description Hall Industrial Services is looking to add Experienced Mechanics to our team. The mechanics we hire will be required to diagnose and repair all types of diesel, gas, propane, and electrically powered equipment with a strong knowledge of the workings of a carburetor and electrical trouble shooting skills preferred. You must have your own tools and a valid driver’s license. The equipment we use comes in varying shapes and sizes so a qualified candidate must be able to stand for extended periods of time, bend, squat, and/or work with arms over head. Job Requirements • Must be able to read and understand repair manuals and schematics • Should have working knowledge of the following: o Gas & Diesel Engines o Hydraulics o Transmission, differentials, and final drives o Electrical/Electronic systems o Pneumatics • A valid class A driver’s license is desired • Able to work overtime when required Basic Qualifications: • Mechanical knowledge of gas and mechanical knowledge diesel repair • Experience with hydraulic and air brake systems • Knowledge of internal combustible engines • Repairing forklifts (e.g., repairing propane fuel systems, hydraulic systems, pallet jacks, etc.) • Able to conduct preventative maintenance • Repairing heavy trucks (e.g., working on tractor-trailers, brakes, tires) Repairing light trucks (e.g., trucks, vans, support vehicles, etc.) • Maintain vehicle and machine records as required • Repair of Machine tools, both manual and CNC, replacement of bearings, spindles, controls, etc.
