Tractor-Trailer Crashes At Norcross Gas Station; 10 Cars Damaged

NORCROSS, GA — A tractor-trailer crashed into the parking lot of a Norcross QuikTrip Thursday morning, damaging 10 cars and prompting the closure of all lanes of Jimmy Carter Boulevard, according to reports. The truck drove off of Jimmy Carter Boulevard and over a retaining wall before smashing into several cars and overturning in the gas station parking lot. One person had to be rescued from a car, WSB-TV reports. That person was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The truck initially hit a vehicle in front of it on Jimmy Carter Boulevard, Gwinnett fire spokesman Donald Strother told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Crews responded to the scene at 7:10 a.m. Overturned tractor trailer on Jimmy Carter Blvd and Brook Hollow Pkwy. We counted 8 cars that got hit by the 18 wheeler.
