Auburndale section of Newton, a private, parent-governed afterschool now interviewing for substitute part-time afterschool teachers for the remainder of the 2022 school year (June) with potential employment opportunity in the 2022-2023 year. Approx. 15-21 hours per week depending on schedule. Mid-March target start date. Typical afterschool teacher schedule; M, T, TH, F 2:20-5:50pm, WED 11:50 -5:50pm, two early release THURSDAYS (11:50am-5:50pm). The schedule may be adjusted (day/hours) for the right candidate. MUST have paid professional experience teaching/leading school-age (K-5th grade) children in direct instruction such as group gym games, dance, art, sports, theatre, music, etc. Successful candidate is expected to effectively supervise children, promote positive interactions, keep accurate attendance, and work cooperatively with fellow staff and our enrolled families. Approx. $22-24.50/HR dependent on experience; health and other benefits may be available according to schedule.
