Great Warehouse Job in Denver for growing company. The Material Handler is responsible for accurately picking and packing all outbound orders. This is a physical position that requires repetitive lifting, bending all day and is an entry level position, lots of room to grow. Responsible for following policy’s and procedures for safety and professionalism at all times. Required skills, ability to lift 60+ pounds, strong attention to detail, must be able to multi task in fast paced environment, working knowledge of warehousing and logistical practices, problem solving skills, mechanically inclined, basic and higher math skills, effective communication skills, ability to learn new skills, regular and predictable attendance. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: Shipping: • Pick and pack out bound small packages • Pick, wrap, band and stage truck shipments • Correctly apply packing lists and markings to corresponding shipments • Preform daily quality assurance procedures as directed • Creates appropriate packaging for orders, including custom pallets, crates or cartons • Loads small package shipments and stock product safely using warehouse equipment (pallet jack, tie downs, skates ect.) as required • Must have strong attention to detail to maintain minimal error rate • Follows all RF Scanning procedures • Adheres to logistical processes and procedures according to customer, destination, and order status Receiving: • Safely unloads 40’ ocean containers with team, approximately every 2 weeks; including preparation for receipt • Must be tolerant of working in outside weather conditions (hot and cold) during container unloading Warehousing: • Maintains clean work space • Preforms stock and supply checks as requested • Boxes and un-boxes products according to procedures • Works with operations staff to execute project-based tasks as requested KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE ‘REQUIRED’ FOR THE JOB: • HSD/GED • Strong attention to detail • Must be able to multi task in fast paced environment • Situational awareness • Working knowledge of warehousing and logistical best practices • Strong problem solving skills • Mechanically inclined • Basic math skills • Effective communication skills • Must be willing to learn new skills and methods to accommodate company growth • Sets, supports and reviews quarterly goals with operations staff in conjunction with company goals • Regular and predictable attendance KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES THAT ARE ‘PREFERRED’ FOR THE JOB: • Logistics experience • Knowledge of NetSuite and RF-SMART EDUCATION (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS): • HSD/GED PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS & ENVIRONMENT: • Must be able to lift up to 60lbs regularly • Must be able to stand for 6-8 hours • Must be able to stand, sit, stoop, kneel, climb, and reach regularly • Must be tolerant of working in outdoor (or non-climate controlled) conditions
