NORCROSS, GA—Police have arrested a Norcross man wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of two men that occurred late last year. According to the Gwinnett County Police Department, Karlton Sirmons, 30, was arrested early Friday morning in Atlanta and booked into the Gwinnett County jail.
According to police, Derrick Dennis, 55, and Josh Dennis, 30, were found dead by officers around 4:45 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, after a call about a person shot. The two men were uncle and nephew, 11 Alive reported. The shooting occurred at a townhouse community off Beaver Springs Lane in Norcross, police said.
"These two loving men were the backbone of our family," read a GoFundMe post set up for the Dennis family shortly after the shooting.
The Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office, the Atlanta Police Department and the U.S. Marshals assisted the Gwinnett County Police Department in Sirmon's arrest.
Police have not revealed the motive for the shooting.
