Description
Hiring range is $21.40 - $25.48 per hour. Performs facility repair and preventative maintenance on all District facilities. In addition, the incumbent is expected to work on capital improvement projects and other construction projects as assigned. Must be available to work Saturdays on a regular basis. Performs specific tasks related to keeping District facilities in proper working order. Facility tasks include but are not limited to installing and repairing plumbing, doors and locks, light fixtures and outlets, floors, walls, ceilings, windows, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. Performs routine opening and closing seasonal preventive maintenance tasks to include, but is not limited to turning on/off electrical breakers, water service, gas service, checking faucets, stools, urinals, and lavatories, inspecting and servicing motors, belts, fans, switches, heaters, air conditioners, cleaning sewer lines, drains, vents, filters, painting, roofing, dry wall, tile, carpet, concrete, replace doors, windows, screens, handles, hinges, etc. Responds to and resolves work requests, complaints, or other issues as they arise in Manager Plus. Identifies maintenance needs through inspecting and proceeding to clean, lubricate, tighten, adjust, and replace worn or damaged parts of mechanical equipment. Maintains a variety of records relating to inspections, maintenance activities, materials used, and tasks completed. Assists with snow removal. Works on construction projects as assigned. Assists in the purchase of all materials for maintenance and capital improvement projects for the District. Performs emergency repair of District facilities. Emergency repairs cover aspects of maintenance that could be a hazard to the public and district employees. Examples include, but are not limited to broken windows and doors, electrical shortages, security to district facilities, sewer and plumbing problems, unstable overhead objects, broken benches, tables and chairs, broken water lines, etc. Assists in the purchasing of materials needed to solve daily and emergency maintenance issues. OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs all functions in a customer service-oriented manner. Serves on committees and focus groups as assigned. Attends trainings, staff meetings, and conferences as assigned. Works closely with the management in planning the design and construction of maintenance and capital improvement projects.
