Day Porter – Full time (Paramus, NJ) A day porter is responsible for making sure the building looks clean, presentable, and inviting at all times. Monday - Friday Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm (Hours are subject to change) Salary: salary will commensurate with experience Day Porter Job Summary We are looking for a Day Porter to maintain the lobby and common areas of our building. Your tasks will include mopping floors, wiping down windows, dusting fixtures, and emptying trash. You will also service the parking area and restrooms. During certain seasons, you may need to clear walkways leading up to the building. Our ideal candidate is someone who will take pride in keeping the building beautiful, clean, and comfortable for all visitors. Applicants should have some professional cleaning experience or be familiar with cleaning products and equipment. Day Porter Duties and Responsibilities • Maintain cleanliness of lobby and other common areas • Spot mop floors and place caution signs • Vacuum rugs • Sweep parking areas as needed • Wipe down window glass and elevator surfaces • Dust fixtures, countertops, and other surfaces • Empty trash • Replace lightbulbs • Service restrooms • Perform small repairs as needed Day Porter Requirements and Qualifications • Willing and able to commute to Paramus, NJ • High school diploma or GED certificate preferred • Janitorial or maintenance experience preferred • Valid driver's license preferred • Familiarity with common cleaning supplies and hand tools • Physical stamina • Ability to work outdoors • Friendly demeanor Please send resume or work history with a contact phone number when responding.
