Maintenance Worker/Handyperson Part Time 5 Hours per week The Senior Citizens Activities Network (SCAN) has an immediate opportunity for an individual to work part time in our Monmouth Mall location. We are a non-profit organization serving our members ages 55 and older in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. In this role the individual will provide custodial support weekly. Responsibilities • Cleans, sweeps, dust mops, wet mops floors, corridors to ensure cleanliness • Provide supervisor with a list of needed and maintains inventory of supplies • Identifies cleaning problems and determines appropriate remedies. • On special occasions, set up and clean up after events. • Wash floors 3 times per month • Wash all employee’s desks and tables in classrooms weekly. • Take garbage out 2x weekly. • Move equipment and furniture when needed. • Clean kitchen weekly. • Other duties as assigned Requirements • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Knowledge or willingness to learn different types of cleaning methods and procedures; knowledge of the materials, supplies and equipment utilized in cleaning activities. • Ability to perform minor repairs would be a plus.
