I agree with the OP. A president can influence gasoline prices, but oil companies charge what the market will bare. Oil companies have exploited Americans under EVERY president. Let's just say the pipeline had been completed. Who do you think would be paying for that multi billion dollar project? Who do you think would be paying for the maintenance? YOU the gasoline consumer. Oil companies have not reported a loss in profits since the 1970's. They have us by the balls. We are dependent on oil. I fully support the use of alternative fuels for this reason. Alternative fuels represents a competitive market. A competitive market means competitive pricing. I know we are a society that likes to assign blame for things on people that we do not like, but the simple fact is, Oil companies lies have been screwing each of us for half a century. This is what truckers should be protesting rather than a silly vaccine.
