A Statewide Aquatic Weed Control company is looking for an aquatic spray tech in the Palmetto area to perform a variety of storm water maintenance duties. Responsibilities include: • Aquatic weed control including spraying with Aquatic Herbicides • Use of 4wd truck/UTV/Small Outboard skiff & Various Spray rigs • Calibrating spray equipment • Performing truck inspections • Daily routing and scheduling • Making sure all work is conducted in compliance with strict safety guidelines • Basic understanding & identifying of aquatic weeds and other types of invasive water vegetation species. • Complete understanding of Herbicide's used, what they control, and all safety requirements. • Basic understanding of application methods and equipment ELECTRICAL EXPERIENCE A MAJOR PLUS & COULD LEAD TO BETTER PAY MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS • Currently possess or be willing to obtain an Aquatic Applicator license. • Must be comfortable working around herbicide • A valid Florida driver's license is required for consideration with clean record • Lift and carry items weighing 50 lbs. or more. • Bend, crouch, push, pull, and balance frequently. • Hike/walk on uneven terrain near water with a backpack weighing up to 50 lbs. • Be able to function in 90+ weather in high humidity while wearing safety equipment. • DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE AND ALL APPLICANTS AND EMPLOYEES ARE SUBJECT TO PRE-EMPLOYMENT AND RANDOM DRUG SCREENINGS. • A VALID FLORIDA DRIVER'S LICENSE IS REQUIRED; DRIVING HISTORY WILL BE CAREFULLY REVIEWED. NO MORE THAN TWO MOVING VIOLATIONS ARE ALLOWED IN LAST SIX YEARS.
