"Is this place haunted?" Many of our volunteers, and quite a few of our visitors, have told us throughout the years of strange occurrences they have encountered while spending time at our facility. We have always included as many of these stories as we can in our Haunted History Tour event, but quite frankly, it is hard to include them all. Since it is sometimes difficult to differentiate between what is a true experience versus what is only the power of suggestion, we decided to bring in a professional paranormal investigative team to help us sift through the stories. In January of this year, our curator, Lahnie and her daughter Autumn, participated in a thorough investigation by Western Wisconsin Paranormal Investigations. Check out their website at www.wwiscpi.com. It was an eventful evening that brought about the discovery of a LOT of evidence to help support the various claims made throughout the years. Many people have shown interest in seeing the collected evidence, so we have decided to host a public reveal. Photos and videos will be displayed by projector on a large screen and EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) will be played over the sound system. Howard Hazen, the lead investigator from Western Wisconsin Paranormal Investigations, will explain the equipment used, how the evidence was collected, and what makes it paranormal in nature. After the presentation of the evidence, he and Lahnie will be glad to discuss any questions you may have.
