Campus District invites you to their first Neighborhood Mixer of 2022, in partnership with Rust Belt Riders! Campus District invites you to their first Neighborhood Mixer of 2022! Hosted in partnership with Rust Belt Riders, CDI brings you a happy hour of mixing, mingling, and getting your hands in some dirt on Thursday, March 10th, 2022. Rust Belt Riders is a worker-owned cooperative, who works to provide clean and timely alternative to landfills for Northeast Ohioans’ food waste! Their mission? To “create wealth from waste in order to feed people not landfills.” For our first mixer of 2022, we will tour the Rust Belt Riders facility on St. Clair, learn about their composting services, and new soil arm called Tilth Soil. The tour will begin at 5:30 pm and continue with an interactive workshop with the Rust Belt Riders themselves, followed by food, drink and chit chat until 7:30 pm! This is a casual event and you are welcome to stop in and say hello if unable to spend the entire event with us! Neighborhood Mixers are an opportunity for neighbors, colleagues, and businesses of the district, to connect and learn about resources together in our community. As Covid-19 struck the United States, CDI’s Neighborhood Mixers took a hiatus. We are thrilled to gather again, as safely as possible, and pivot back to these long-term community initiatives. Rust Belt Riders is located at 2701 St. Clair Ave NE, Cleveland, OH. This is a zero waste event. Please RSVP by March 9th, 2022. For safety, this event is capped at 15 people. Mask wearing is required when not eating or drinking. We encourage all to get vaccinated against COVID-19. Walking, biking, and scooting to this event is encouraged. Parking is available along St. Clair Avenue and is limited in front of Rust Belt Riders.
