WHAT IS AN EMPTY NEST SYNDROME (ENS)? ENS is a feeling of grief and loneliness That we may feel when children leave home for the first time to go to college or move away. It is not a clinical condition Having an understanding of it gives the realization that... It is a normal feelingYou are not aloneTime will not ease the discomfort👉 If you are having the following, you might be experiencing Empty Nest Syndrome. Feeling on a roller coaster of emotions such as sadness, anger, fear, or anxious Loneliness Frustration over lack of control A feeling of rejection from your children, spouse or the world A feeling of having no purpose anymore Feeling lostWhatever you feel is okay. Trying to deny your pain or suppressing your sadness won't make it go away, and could even make it worse by causing it to spring up at the wrong time or place. For many years I studied and applied in my daily life the principles of Yoga & Ayurveda. I am a Yoga & Ayurveda Wellness Consultant, and Mindful leader. 4 years ago as we dropped our firstborn to college I asked myself “My kid left home, Now what?” I was on a roller coaster of emotions: excited, sad, happy, anxious, fearful, worried. I was thinking to myself "Will he be okay?". The truth was more complex than that. Turns out that the feelings I was going through were completely normal. I found out that it was called Empty nest Syndrome. Rich with this knowledge, I decided that I didn't want to feel that way anymore. Especially because I have a second son. I created my own transformation. Today I can share with you that we dropped our second son at college and I am celebrating and looking forward to this new chapter in my life. Now, I want to share my knowledge and wisdom with you.
