Dear Stakeholder in the Veteran and Servicemember Community,
Each day, 17 veterans die by suicide. Out of that 17, 11 are not connected with Veterans Health Administration (VHA) and are more likely to die by suicide.
The Bucks County Military & Veterans Suicide Prevention Coalition was formed to identify and work collectively with Service Members, Veterans, and their Families (SMVF) to screen for suicide, promote connectedness, improve care transition, and increase lethal means safety & safety planning.
This Coalition, now a subcommittee of the Bucks County Suicide Prevention Taskforce, works to end military and veteran suicide in Bucks County and the surrounding areas by connecting Service Members, Veterans, and their Families (SMVF) to community stakeholders, resources, and VHA programs and services of their choosing. Please join us in this mission by attending our upcoming meetings and events. We cannot do this without you!
Sincerely,
