The identity of the owner and any civil charges were not revealed by the TSA, but he was reported to be from Clarence Center. (Lockport Union-Sun & Journal) On Saturday evening, a hit and run in the City of Buffalo sent one person to the hospital. According to a Buffalo Police Department spokesperson, a man was hit by a vehicle at Olympic and Cloverdale Avenue just after 8:10 p.m. The man, whose identity and age have not yet been released, was taken by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center for treatment. (WIVB.com - News 4) As a "thank you" to local vets, elementary students from Buffalo Public and Lancaster Central School Districts recently created Valentine's cards for veterans. Erie County Clerk Michael Kearns delivered the cards during a western New York Heroes food distribution event. Kearns says the cards were "truly special" for the veterans and added the project taught students what it means to be a veteran and the value of their service to our country.
