BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Production on the 11th season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has paused after members of the cast and crew have tested positive for COVID-19. On Saturday, franchise star Kyle Richards became the first of three cast members to acknowledge her positive diagnosis. In an Instagram post Saturday, Richards, 51 confirmed that both she and her 20-year-old daughter Sophia Umansky had tested positive. "Since I was diagnosed I have been separated from my family in order to keep them healthy," she wrote. "Unfortunately, Sophia also got it. We will stay in isolation until it's safe to see the family and others again. I can't wait to hug them." Last Wednesday, a source close to Bravo confirmed to E! that stars Kyle Richards, Dorit Kemsley, and Kathy Hilton all tested positive. A source told ET Wednesday that the women believe they were exposed to the virus at a luncheon they attended together. The source said that as of Wednesday, Richards and Hilton were resting at home with fever and flu-like symptoms. "Kathy was incredibly tired and had a feeling something was wrong but at first she didn't seem to show a fever. After days of feeling wiped out, she finally saw a doctor and had a very high fever," the source continues. "Sure enough, [Kathy's husband] Rick [Hilton] also tested positive and they have been social distancing ever since." Richards' and Kemsley's current statuses are unconfirmed. Cast member Garcelle Beauvais told the talk show The Real, where she is also a co-host, that she and her castmates needed to quarantine for 14 days. "We do all the protocols," Garcelle told her Real co-hosts. "We get tested at least three times a week. We get tested before we shoot. You know, my kids get tested, I get tested, anybody who's in my household, and you know, we did the right things, but at the same time, it just shows you that this virus -- you can touch something, you can… you know, it's not necessarily just from people."
