Press release from the City of San Antonio: Monday, January 24, 2022 CONTACT: Michelle Vigil, City of San Antonio [email protected] San Antonio (January 24, 2022) - City Council's Redistricting Advisory Committee will begin creating a proposed plan for City Council district boundaries in a series of public meetings through May 31, 2022. All meetings are open to the public, including working sessions, to include the public in the redistricting process, which involves revising district boundaries in response to the release of 2020 US Census data and in preparation for the 2023 municipal elections. The public is encouraged to share their input and comments on revised district boundaries throughout the City Council District redistricting process. Anticipated redrawn district boundaries will be brought for final Council approval in the summer of 2022. The Advisory Committee is aided by City staff and outside legal counsel to gather community input, revise district boundaries, provide regular updates to City Council and make a final recommendation in preparation for the 2023 municipal elections.
