BEVERLY HILLS, CA — The 77th annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony will take place at the Beverly Hilton on Sunday, January 5, 2020, and road closures were announced coinciding with the event. The Beverly Hills Police Department is deploying additional staff and security measures to ensure safety, the City of Beverly Hills press release said. Road closures will be set up on Wilshire and Santa Monica Boulevards with access provided only to local residents and to the Los Angeles Country Club members. Alternate east-west routes include South Santa Monica, Olympic, Pico and Sunset Boulevards. There will also be partial closures established on residential streets with resident-only access. A full list of street closures is below: North Santa Monica Boulevard Westbound: complete closure from Wilshire Boulevard to Century Park East from 9:00 p.m. on Friday, January 3 through 4:00 a.m. on Monday, January 6.Eastbound: complete closure from Century Park East to Wilshire Boulevard from 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 4 through 4:00 a.m. on Monday, January 6.Alternate Routes: S. Santa Monica to remain open in both directionsWilshire Boulevard Westbound: complete closure at S. Santa Monica Boulevard from 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 5 to 4:00 a.m. on Monday, January 6.Eastbound: limited closure at Beverly Glen Boulevard (Los Angeles) with local access only to residents in the 10200-10300 blocks of Wilshire Boulevard and Los Angeles Country Club visitors from 7 a.m. on Sunday, January 5 to 4 a.m. on Monday, January 6. Wilshire Boulevard will be completely closed to all other through traffic between the Country Club and S. Santa Monica Boulevard. Alternate Routes: S.
