The recent winter storm that blanketed the city with a coat of snow and ice, but City agencies worked together to help keep things safe and orderly. Dallas Police classified a fatal shooting on Saturday in West Dallas as 'justifiable homicide.' Witnesses say that the victim, Gavino Lorta, 25, was approaching the shooter, Christopher Johnson, 26, with a loaded weapon just prior to the time of the shooting. The case will be referred to a Dallas County Grand Jury. (CBS Dallas / Fort Worth) A 19-year-old is dead after the Thursday shooting on MacArthur Boulevard in Irving. Police found the victim, now identified as Thayrion Mason, in his car after witnesses called emergency services.
