NASHUA, NH - Nashua Fire Rescue responded to a report of a structure fire at 88 Beauview Ave Friday. While en route just after 11 p.m. they were advised by dispatch that the front of the building was on fire.
When responding units arrived they found heavy fire from the front of the structure and requested a working fire bringing additional resources to the scene and for station coverage.
Two hose lines were stretched, extinguishing the fire on the exterior of the single-family wood-frame residential dwelling under renovation.
Entry was made through the front door where heavy fire was encountered on the first floor and attic space. An aggressive fire suppression attack was made, during which time a hole was discovered to have burned through the floor into the basement.
A third hose line was stretched to attack the fire in the basement. Searches of the dwelling were negative and the fire was quickly brought under control.
Nashua Fire Rescue Fire Marshals are investigating the cause and origin of the fire. At the time of publication, the cause was not determined. No firefighters or civilians were injured in the incident.
