I play sousaphone (tuba) and tenor banjo and am seeking other musicians who like Dixieland-Style Traditional Jazz, aka "New Orleans Street Jazz" "Chicago-Style Jazz", "San Francisco-Style Jazz" "Roaring-Twenties Speakeasy Jazz" Artists covered to include Bix Beiderbecke, Bunk Johnson and the Yerba Buena Jazz Band, Original Dixieland Jazz Band, Jelly Roll Morton, Kid Ory, etc. Songs covered to include Ostrich Walk, At the Jazz Band Ball, Georgia Camptown Meeting, Panama, Down by The Riverside, etc. I am local to Huntington Beach but can drive whatever distance might be necessary in order to get with the right people. At this time this is a personal study project which I would like to expand out to possibly an organized group with plans to perform publicly. I will be checking my e-mail daily for replies.
