APHELION, a Madison, WI-based hard rock band seeks a vocalist and a guitarist to rebuild lineup. BIOGRAPHY: Aphelion revolves around the concept of rockstar meets superhero in a Dystopian story of intergalactic proportions. Drawing from a vast and various catalog of musical and theatrical influences, at its core Aphelion is a hard rock band with space-themed lyrics that tell the narrative of a world ravaged by war that was advocated by the greatest threat mankind has ever known: ourselves. The space theme is symbiotically linked into the whole, which addresses socialism, tyranny, the casualties of war, and the corruption of man; as well as exploring the emotional connection between each other. Conceptually, their debut album, Chasing the Sun, follows the journey of the crew's commander and his quest to escape a world of corruption-- only to be corrupted by something else. Could it be that corruption lives in the heart of all men? BAND HISTORY: APHELION released their debut album in January 2020. It was recorded at Burn United Records by Shawn Streeter. The lead single, "I've Lost the Moon" went to rock radio worldwide, including over 50 stations nationwide-- including appearances on Madison's own WJJO's Morning Show with Dee and The Local Stage. The single won several "battle of the band" style radio competitions with listeners voting for it against other up and coming bands. OUR GEAR: APHELION rehearses in a private, keyed-entry, climate controlled rehearsal studio in Madison near the Beltline. We have the largest room in the building at 475 sq ft. The band utilizes a self-contained In Ear Monitor system housed in a mixer rack. This is includes a PreSonus 32SC Mixer, Xtuga IEM, two Shure GLXD4R/SM58 Wireless Mics, and a Tech21 SansAmp RBI Bass Processor with Korg Tuner. The guitars also run direct through two Line 6 Firehawk FX floor processors. Drums are Pearl with Sabian Cymbals. APPLICANTS: We are looking for people who are professional, reliable, and can perform both the material from the first album as well as write new material. All guitars are tuned to Drop C#.
