Description
I have never read the books, but I own the full film series and have watched them over the years. I was wondering if there are any other souls around who have a secret, or not so secret, love and appreciation for this wonderful wizarding world, and the various characters (and performances of those portraying them) within. Maybe we could get together once or twice, drink butterbeer (I've never tried it), play quidditch, cast spells, make potions; perhaps go on a trip to a related theme park. We could make a film (low budget/no budget obviously) spin-off, originating a script based on a character or two, or just the wizarding world in general.
And obviously we could watch the films together, perhaps even read the books together. In my mind, it would be a warm, cozy environment we would share together, one not riddled with the meanness and nastiness of reality, and real people. We could be, when together, as ethically-sound and altruistic as the films do champion, or at least such is my view of them. We can be, together, as free as Luna Lovegood, for example, is in the films to be her own way. No snobs and divisive personalities, just pure, pure HP love. I'm not suggesting we all be Hufflepuffs. I'm speaking to the vibes, if you will, that I get from the films. There is a certain...humility. When I imagine a gathering of HP fans I do not imagine, necessarily, the type of environment that I would want to expose myself to. If we were to do this, I would like for things such as age and appearance to not matter; after all, such things do not matter at Hogwarts. Consider the students, the professors, the creatures.
