Denzel Washington's Home Examined For Possible Fire Wednesday

BEVERLY HILLS, CA —Firefighters from Los Angeles and Beverly Hills responded to a possible fire at the Beverly Crest home of actor Denzel Washington Wednesday night after smoke was seen coming out of the second floor of the four-story mansion. The home is said to be safe with no active fire, discovered, according to LAFD report. Thirty-eight firefighting crews from Los Angeles and one from Beverly Hills responded to a 911 call from 41 Beverly Park Circle shortly after 8 p.m. Wednesday. Crews searched the walls of the 28,887-square-foot home, according to a USA Today report, and did not find any fire. "There is no fire and everyone is OK and safe," Washington's press representative Alan Neirob told USA Today. According to the fire department report, occupants remained safely inside the home while crews used thermal imaging cameras to find the source of the smoke. No flames were seen anywhere. The report concluded that smoke was coming from one of the furnaces in the home that had recently been serviced and has now been taken off-line. No injuries were reported, according to the report.
