guitarist looking to jam

Hi, I've been self teaching myself guitar for three plus years now, and have been pretty consistent in my practice and playing.I've taken guitar lessons, but just haven't found the right fit in a guitar teacher. I'm looking for other musicians to jam with as a hobby, and who knows what from there. I grew up in the seventies, obviously very familiar with the 70's rock sound and also folk music and accoustic arrangements.I don't play a lot of covers songs, although I need to learn more to help me in my guitar skills. I enjoy writing my own music and would like to jam with others with the same interests in mind.. I'm currently trying to learn garage band to record,. There's a lot to it, but seems like when I get my head wrapped around it, it will be a great tool If your a novice guitar, or any instrument for that matter, and would like to help me create some music, could be a lot of fun as well as a good learning experience!
