Description

I am hoping to find a loving home for our foster dog Junior (also responds to “Dude” or “The Dude”🥰), he is an almost 3 year old red Heeler mix (vax up-to date/ not neutered). We have been fostering him for 8 months now and he has proven to be a wonderful dog. Junior is a very docile, gentle and trainable dog. In our time together he has learned several commands and is generally a sweet and playful boy😁 Junior would like to find him a home where he can have a calm and quiet environment, where he would go on walks and roam the house/yard, be loved, cuddled, spoiled and well cared for. We do have a few specifications due to Juniors history (see below) that we feel are very important for his adaptability in a new home. As I said before he needs a calm and quiet environment so no small(young) children/animals, he does better with calmer/adult humans and animals. Most importantly he will need a family that is patient with him as he transitions and adapts to life with them. Additionally I am asking for a small adoption fee. Junior’s history: For the four months prior to us fostering Junior, he lived on a 5 acre farm where he worked to protect the fowl (only he wasn’t so good at his “job” lol 💁🏻‍♀️) but unfortunately when his family moved they could not take him with. For the year and a half prior to the farm we know very little about where Junior came from or the life he had, however from what we gather he was in a room by himself, and definitely showed signs of having been abused, it is part of his docile gentle and submissive ways. When he was first adopted to the farm his anxiety was heavily triggered by men, he would cower if you walked toward him too quickly. Over the last year he has grown very fond of my husband and most of our family members who are men, and he has become the playful loving boy we know as “The Dude”. There is definitely some trauma for him to work through which is why he requires a patient family who is willing to work with him. We cannot keep him, though I gotta say I would, I have grown to love this boy and I know there is a family out there for him. Maybe even yours?
