This sweet cat found us right before Christmas. He was outside of our yard and, with a little coaxing, he came to us. We decided to call him 'Billy' until we could find his owner. He stayed around as we were feeding him and giving him lots of loving. We knew that he had to have a home, as he was so gentle even though he had his claws, and he was such a lap cat! After taking 'Billy' to the vet to see if he was chipped and it turned out that he wasn’t, we called the Humane Society. Unfortunately, their recording said it could take a week to get an appointment, and all 'Billy' wanted to do was come into the house! He was really missing his family. After we posted finding 'Billy' on PawMaw, his owner called the very next day! PawMaw worked so well - I didn’t have luck with any of the services in town, but posting 'Billy' on PawMaw was how we were able to reach his family. His owner had been checking every day! 'Billy,' whose real name is actually Nix, was gone for 45 days! I’m sure that they were losing hope of finding him. He had traveled over 4 miles from his house, too! We're so glad that Nix is finally back with his family.
