Description
MARIETTA, GA — Cobb County has postponed the planned "soft" reopening of some senior centers in Marietta.
County officials said they made the decision after consultation with public health officials and Gov. Brain Kemp's extension of the Public Health State of Emergency. Despite rigorous cleaning protocols and social distancing plans, the continued rise in coronavirus cases has also prompted the delay.
Senior Services will work with county leaders and Cobb and Douglas Public Health to determine when they may be able to move forward with reopening some of the centers.
