Last week I tested positive for covid and soon after my kids did as well. We haven't been feeling well at all and have to retest after 14 days to make sure we test negative before returning to work. My boss hasn't paid me or anyone else sick leave despite filing an osha complaint and I technically won't see a next paycheck until after Christmas when i go back to work. All of our money has gone to bills, food, medicine, and other basic necessities and now i fear my kids won't have a Christmas. I have a 2 year old son and a 4 year old daughter. I made an Amazon wishlist as suggested by a friend, if anyone could help out by contributing to even one gift it would mean the world. I don't normally ask for handouts and I'm extremely ashamed by doing so as I've always been a hard worker but i don't want my kids to think they weren't nice or santa doesn't like them or something 😔 I'm usually the one helping out whenever i can and will greatly "pay it forward" when this covid nightmare is over.
