Landscape Manager and Assistants/Full-Time Garden Angels, LLC Glen Rock and Ridgewood, New Jersey area $20-30/hour Landscape Manager and Landscape Assistants positions with established and growing Garden Design firm located in Glen Rock, NJ, 07452. We create beautiful, one-of-a-kind gardens. We are looking for self-starters who have initiative, leadership skills and pride in your work, can carry-out assignments, communicate with the designer and capable and experienced in leading small (2-3 men) landscape crew and knowledge of plants, with a desire to learn and improve. A driver’s license is necessary and proven experience in a similar role. Skills required: - Planting, grading soil, masonry/stonework, drainage work, irrigation repairs, pruning, tree work - Ability to problem-solve unforeseen challenges that arise on landscape sites - Bilingual/Spanish & English with ability to communicate effectively Positions offer competitive pay with bonus based on performance. The position averages 40 hours per week, beginning in late March (depending on weather) with potential to work through the Christmas season. We offer competitive compensation that is commensurate with experience. Managers $28/hour and up Assistants $20/hour and up Job Requirements: Applicants must be energetic and eager to do physical work regardless of weather conditions and able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds regularly. Applicants must be able to follow directions and work efficiently, both independently and as part of a team. Plant knowledge and/or nursery/landscape experience is preferred. Must be knowledgeable in the operation of hand tools and have a valid driver’s license. The ability to work some weekend days is preferred.
