BERKELEY, CA — Some people driving near Tilden Regional Park in Orinda got a surprise on Monday — a llama trotting down the road. This is Lovely the llama, and she's part of U.C. Berkeley's fire hazard reduction program. According to regional park firefighters, her role is "helping remove flammable and overgrown vegetation one bite at a time." Apparently she was looking for greener pastures and took off on a road trip to find them. But she wasn't counting on the firefighters who put their wrangling skills to the test and rescued her. Say hello to Lovely the Lama! Today, Regional Park Firefighters helped rescue Lovely the Lama, who got loose near Tilden Regional Park.
