MARIETTA, GA — The Marietta City School System plans to hire at least 50 people to help with district operations during the pandemic. A grant from WorkSource Cobb will help employ those who have lost their jobs due to the pandemic, reported the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Full-time workers will take the temperatures of children before they board the school bus or enter the building, said Superintendent Dr. Grant Rivera. Residents can apply for the positions on the system's website. The pay is $12 an hour, and the work schedule will be from 6 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A two-hour training will be required.
