MARIETTA, GA — The Marietta School Board on Tuesday unanimously authorized the district to begin reopening some classrooms in phases as early as Sept. 8. The proposed plan would allow in-person learning for its youngest students and those with disabilities first. Students in grades PreK through second grade would be in the classroom twice a week with no more than nine students at a time. Face coverings and temperature checks would be required. Meals would also be brought to the classrooms and the building's HVAC system would be adjusted to allow for more ventilation. The district has scheduled upcoming virtual town halls for families.
