Description

Take your quilting skills to the next level with this two-hour workshop on one of the most versatile quilting building blocks. The half square triangle is used for hundreds of patterns such as pinwheels, flying geese, zigzags, stars, and much more. In this beginner friendly 2-hour workshop, we'll be learning a quick piecing method to create these classic blocks. Blocks are typically made with a lighter fabric and a darker fabric. Fabrics can be all the same, or this is a great opportunity to use fabric "scraps" you may already have. Supplies Needed: Sewing machine w/ thread6 pre-cut pieces of fabric: 12"×17" (3 light, 3 contrast darker - can be 6 different fabrics).PenQuilting ruler (or regular 12"ruler)Rotary cutterCutting matInstructor Travis Clough comes from a large family of Maine quilters, but didn't pick it up for himself until 2008 when he was living in San Francisco and homesick, desperate for a connection to home. His love of colors and fabric drove his obsession and he's looking forward to sharing it with you!
