The VSO is excited to announce a masterclass with renowned pianist Stephen Hough as part of his upcoming residency in Burlington.
On Saturday, March 26, 2022, Stephen Hough performs Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 3 at the Flynn, conducted by VSO Music Director candidate Tania Miller. The concert also includes Sibelius' Symphony No. 1 and Yatra by Sri Lankan/Canadian composer Dinuk Wijeratne. Four student finalists will be selected to take part in this masterclass via an application and audition process. Each of the four finalists will have approximately 15-20 minutes to work with Mr. Hough on the piece of music they've submitted with their application. Information on how to apply can be found here.
The masterclass is open and free to the public but requires pre-booking. There is a limit of 100 general seating tickets.
