This workshop will help you explore in writing "your story, your truth and journey to heal from various levels of trauma. My name is Javelin Hardy, poet and author. I was born and raised in Minden, LA. I grew up in the 80's when crack cocaine devastated the black community. In the mist of family struggles and abuse I began writing to escape my home environment. Writing saved my life, it was my journey to heal from childhood sexual abuse and witnessing a lot of domestic abuse as a child. I am on a journey to dismantle abuse and learned addictive behaviors and dysfunctional cycles so the future generations can be healthier in mind, body and spirit.
