Celebrate President's Day at the President's Home! Live enactors engage with you and your guests as if it were 1891 and the Harrisons are home from the White House for a brief trip. Tour through Benjamin Harrison's beautiful 1874 Italianate Victorian home while masterful reenactors engage with you and your guests. Visit with the President in his library, say hello to the butler in the back parlor, see what the cooks are making in the kitchen, and speak with Mrs. Harrison in the dining room. This interactive experience is included in the price of admission. Due to social distancing requirements, we will be limiting tours to no more than 14 people and requiring both our docents and visitors to wear a face mask. Tours will be given at 10 AM, 11 AM, 12 PM, 1 PM and 2 PM. Please note that reservations are required. Take a tour of this beautiful 10,000 sq.ft. Italianate Victorian family home of President Benjamin Harrison - our country's 23rd US President (1889-1893) and Indiana's only President. Built in 1875, the home is beautifully furnished with many of Harrison's paintings, furniture, and other artifacts including political memorabilia. Tours start in the Welcome Center, located in the red barn behind the home. Tours begin on the hour and half hour, include a docent-led experience through all three floors of the Presidential Mansion, and last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
