In the season of love, we're starting VDay weekend with a little self-care and connection. Yoga With Friends: Valentine's Edition Yoga With Friends is an on-going series started by Ashley Williams @fashionfwd_ash for people of color who are looking to deepen their connection with self and strengthen their bodies through yoga. A monthly meeting of people who seek to build community with other like-minded individuals. Our February meet up is a loving morning session that invites you to explore your relationship with self, welcome in the weekend, and open up to love and connection. Our Valentine's Day session is a co-ed event meant for everyone. Women, men, and non-binary folks are welcome to participate. 🧘🏾‍♀️Yoga: Florence @flo24_7 is back and ready to give your full body a burst of energy with dynamic movements and stretching, set to a soundtrack of up-tempo and slow paced love tunes. (YES we're going hard on the love theme this month!!) This flow will combine yoga poses and traditional exercises to increase flexibility and mobility. We'll learn to connect breath with movement to help align the entire body. As always, the #YogaWithFriends sessions provide a practice that welcomes relaxation and reflection, and encourages strength and expansion. Modify and Move AT YOUR OWN PACE. All you have to do is be open to trying. 🥂Mix and Mingle: Once we’ve completed our practice, you can look forward to VDay style refreshments and morning mimosas to celebrate the season of sharing love. We'll take the opportunity to catch up with our yoga friends and share gratitude during the “Affirmation Session”, where you're invited to introduce yourself and share feedback or affirming words in a group exercise that encourages and uplifts the collective spirit. We also do giveaways while we mingle, so be sure to make time to stay with us awhile. Communing after our practice enables us to pour positivity into each other (and a little into our glasses ;).
