Hollywood always portrays stay at home mothers as perpetually unhappy and dreaming of what might have been without children and a husband. In real life I never see this attitude from mothers who put motherhood and family first. It’s a stereotype almost invented whole cloth by Hollywood as a weapon. The only happy women I see as they age are those that chose family over career.
