Description

Use heat and hammer to form sheet metal into beautiful steel roses. Topics covered will include texturing steel, working with handheld torches, and creating organic forms. No prior experience is required. Note, there will be an 1 hr break during this class for lunch. Lunch is not provided, but there are many options a short drive away, or pack a lunch and relax at the makerspace. Prerequisites: None Age limit: 13+ (Minors must have an adult, also enrolled, attend with them)Students must wear work boots or shoes made from leather or canvas (no nylon, it melts!). Wear natural fiber clothing (cotton is best). Safety glasses are required and will be provided, but if you have a pair that you’re comfortable in, consider bringing your own.
