THE OLEANDER 2 CIVIC AND SOCIAL CLUB IN COLLABORATION WITH THE USDA FOREST SERVICE WILL PRESENT AN OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN ABOUT HISTORICALLY BLACK COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES (HBCUs), USDA FOREST SERVICE AND OTHER NATURAL RESOURCE OPPORTUNITIES!
This is an opportunity for ALL individuals interested in learning about offerings from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in Degree Programs, Scholarships, Financial Aid, Athletics, and other activities for institutions invited from the States of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee.
Representatives from the USDA Forest Service, Job Corps, Conservation Legacy, and Andalusia Health will be onsite to provide individuals with information on courses or programs available that can lead to scholarships, on the job training, internships and permanent job opportunities. There will also be information on financial aid, various scholarships, and essay writing for scholarships and college applications.
The event will be held on the campus of Lurleen B. Wallace Community College in Andalusia, Alabama. Registration is from 9:00 - 9:45 AM and will be located in the Martha and Solon Dixon Center for the Performing Arts building. The Opening Plenary session will begin at 9:45 AM and the day will end at 3:30 PM. Lunch will be provided.
