WordLab is a strengths-based reading and writing program grounded in nature and infused with joy! Designed to get kids up and moving - this isn't just more screen time! Join our friendly online community of Word Scientists as we explore language in a whole new way! Through our unique, research based approach, students will learn to tap into all 5 senses as they deconstruct the English language using Structured Word Inquiry.  Led by our team of reading specialists and graduate students, hands-on learning will take place both inside and outdoors, encouraging students to engage with the wonder-filled world around them. Word Scientists will sharpen their powers of inquiry as they observe, document, and explore both language and nature. Children will laugh, play, and get to know one another as we build community in both small and large group experiences. Together we will investigate the stories that words tell, using linguistic evidence to build their spelling, vocabulary, reading, and self-esteem. Have you ever eaten an exploded seed? You probably have, especially if you’ve been to the movies (POPcorn)! How about a flower or a root? In this special Harvest edition of WordLab, young word scientists will use their reading, writing, and observation powers to explore the magic of the season as we closely examine the plants we grow and eat. 1st-3rd graders4-5:30 on Tuesdays and ThursdaysMini Series 2-Week Sessions: Nov. 3, 5, 10, 12Nov. 17, 19, Dec. 1, 3Dec. 8, 10, 15, 17 Pricing is $250 for each two-week session, and siblings are welcome to join for just $50 more.
