SOLANO COUNTY, CA — Interstate Highway 80 was shut down Wednesday in Vacaville because of a fire on the westbound side of the freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A Sig-alert was issued for I-80 just after 4:30 p.m. Wednesday because there was fire burning along eastbound I-80 at Manuel Campos Parkway in Fairfield.
As of 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, CHP reported there was a severe traffic alert and a fire on westbound I-80 at Mason Street in Vacaville.
"All lanes remain blocked," according to 511sf.org. "Motorists are advised to expect delays and to use alternate routes to avoid the area. There is no estimated time to reopen the roadway."
