Established window coverings contractor seeks a full time installation technician to deliver and install a variety of products and provide courteous customer care throughout the Bay area. Experience in home automation, or electronics is a plus, but professional training will be provided. Must be a team player, able to coordinate activities with others, and a self-starter who can organize and execute solo assignments efficiently and present a positive, professional and confidential representation of the company. SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Install and service of automated shades, motorized drapery tracks, and other treatmentsComplete basic millwork and machining tasks in the shopMake low voltage connections and program simple controlsGather accurate architectural measurementsRecord work progress and communicate additional work or materials needed in field reportsOrganize and maintain installation van, workshop, tools, and parts inventoryExhibit the highest quality of workmanshipShow respect for, and be careful of, the work of other tradesQUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: Strong mechanical aptitude – low-voltage wiring experience a plusExcellent problem-solving ability, flexibility in scheduling and tasks assigned Basic carpentry skills, such as the use electric saws, drills, and tape measuresAbility to read and follow detailed instructions and to write accurate field reportsMust be comfortable working on ladders and scaffolding and able to lift 50 lbs. Must provide proof of valid CA driver’s license and clean DMV Must be able to drive to jobs throughout entire bay area (SF, Napa, Sacramento, etc.)Non-smoker on job sites.
