Wanted: part-time (30+ hours/week) competent, hardworking, enthusiastic, cheerful gardener, or someone eager to learn. The English Gardener is a small, woman-owned design/ build landscape and fine gardening company led by a Horticulturalist trained at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, in London, England. We seek a gardener to join our unique team to help with the installation and maintenance of small residential projects. Tasks include planting & transplanting, skilled pruning, vegetable gardening, and general care & maintenance of residential gardens (no basic yard maintenance). Some experience and knowledge of plants and plant maintenance are preferred, although on-site training and instruction will be provided. Vegetable gardening experience is desirable. Ability/ willingness to operate small machinery such as tillers, string trimmers, and leaf blowers is required. Applicants must show proof of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations and must be willing to wear a mask occasionally. Clean driving record required. No smoking or vaping while at work. Must be friendly, flexible, and open to instruction. Professional manner and appearance are important. Must be physically fit and comfortable working outdoors year 'round, or as the weather and season permit. To apply, please reply and include a resume. References are required.
