Deceased dog near Christmas Tree/Snowflake

Yesterday morning while walking I found a deceased black dog that was off to the sidewalk on the mall’s side of Route 66. I didn’t know what to do…but my mom said she saw it two weeks ago in the same place so today..I’ll let animal control know so that they can remove it. It looked kind of like a German Spaniel but black with grey around the ears and muzzle..so it may have been old.. I’m so sorry to whoever this dog belonged to. I hope this message gets to the owner..
