Come celebrate the launch of Jacob R. Gardner's debut novel: North of Highway 8. Throughout the evening, you will hear from the author himself, mingle with fellow supporters, and enjoy excerpts from the novel. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres will be served in the Evjue Commons of Olbrich Gardens in Madison, WI. There will also be a cash bar on-site. (Alcohol service will be available for attendees 21 years of age or older. Smoking is not permitted.) Attendees will have access to the Conservatory, bringing nature inside and warming us all during the evening spent south of Highway 8. This event is intended for individuals aged 13+. This age recommendation is due to choice language used in North of Highway 8 and possibly in the author's speech. The event is free to attend, but it is open only to registered guests. The event is limited to 100 registered guests. First come first served. Parking:Parking is available on-site at the event venue. Handicap parking is also available on-site near the entrance. Tentative Itinerary:6pm - 7pm: Arrival and Cocktail Hour 7pm - 730pm: Author Speech + Q&A 730 pm- 845pm: Celebration 845pm - 9pm: Farewell and Thank You Entertainment and Activities:Music, refreshments, and autographed books will be available during the event. Photos of the event are highly encouraged. (Revenue from book sales will be used to offset expenses for the event. Revenue from the cash bar belongs to the catering service and is not used to offset expenses.) COVID-19:This information is subject to change and will reflect, as best as possible, CDC guidance and applicable local regulations. At this time, ALL attendees should anticipate wearing a mask indoors. Vaccinated individuals need not wear their masks while actively eating or drinking. Unvaccinated individuals should receive a negative COVID-19 PCR test no more than 72 hours prior to the event. When indoors, unvaccinated individuals should always be masked.
