Learn upcycling: creative re-use of scrap fabrics Join Factory 3 instructor Stacy Owen to learn to upcycle fabric into something new. In this class you will learn how to Select fabric for upcycling and responsible thrifting.Deconstructing garments or previous finished product.Sewing it together into a finished product or the beginning of your goal.Use fabric/garments provided by Factory 3 or bring your own, and make your choice of: BagQuilt squaresApronBring your own pattern or idea.Basic knowledge of sewing machines and tools required. Please take Factory 3's Intro to Sewing class if you have no experience/limited or need to dust off your sewing skills. If you have previously completed the Intro to Sewing class, you may use any of Factory 3 sewing machines. If not, please bring your own machine.
